Parks Master Plan Input Opportunity

Planning for the Future of Coon Rapids Parks, Recreation and Open Space

Public input is critical to future planning and strategic design

The City of Coon Rapids has a large system of parks and trails that are well utilized by the public. To continue this rich tradition, the city is embarking on a new strategic planning process to help guide the maintenance and development of parks, recreation and open space planning for the future.

The public is invited to attend two upcoming open house events to provide input and ideas for parks planning and development for the future.

The events will take place on:

The firm of Brauer & Associates, LTD. is helping the city guide its strategic planning process. Brauer & Associates, LTD. will also lead the open house events, sharing highlights of what the firm has learned about the city’s park system to date and discuss preliminary planning ideas and approaches for moving forward.

Leagues Begin April 23rd

Please note that schedules and rules/regulations have been updated since manager's meeting.

**Pitching Clarification: ARC is Min. 6ft/Max. 12ft. This is the MSF rule and will be followed by umpires. No USSSA pump faking, must be continuous motion.

**Co-REC Walking Rule: If a male walks with any number of outs, he will be award two bases and the female has the choice of whether to bat or take 1st base.

**Rosters: Rosters are due by the 2nd week of league.

Deadline Extension

The deadline for adult softball has been extended to April 1st.

2012 Adults Softbal Leagues

Welcome to the 2012 Adult Softball Leagues in Coon Rapids. Click for Registration Packet. Returning teams will have from February 22-March 2 to guarantee there spot. New registrations will be taken on a first come first served basis starting March 5th until leagues are full.

Weather permitting the first week of league will be April 23-27.

League Fees for 2012

Double Header Leagues : $875 for 21 games

Single Game Leagues: $530 for 11 games

League Format: 10 weeks of league play and a single elimination playoff of 1-3 weeks.
